Application Effect of a Small Incision NiTi Shape Memory Alloy Embracing Fixator under Thoracoscope in Multiple Rib Fractures
Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of a small incision NiTi shape memory alloy embracing fixator un-der thoracoscope in patients with multiple rib fractures.Methods:A total of 79 patients with multiple rib fractures admitted to Juye County People's Hospital were randomly divided into a study group(n=39)and a control group(n=40)using a random number table.The control group was treated with rib fixation bands,while the study group was treated with a small incision NiTi shape memory alloy embracing fixator under thoracoscope.Clinical indicators,pain levels,sleep quality,and complications were com-pared between the two groups.Results:The study group had shorter durations for drainage tube removal,chest pa-ralysis relief,ambulation,and hospital stay compared to the control group(P<0.05).The VAS scores of both groups decreased at 1 and 3 days after treatment,with the study group having lower scores than the control group(P<0.05).The PSQI scores of both groups decreased at 7 days after treatment,with the study group having lower scores than the control group(P<0.05).There was a significant difference in the incidence of complications between the two groups(P<0.05),with the study group(5.13%)having a lower incidence than the control group(22.50%).Conclusion:Treatment with a small incision NiTi shape memory alloy embracing fixator under thoracoscope in patients with multiple rib fractures can improve clinical indicators,reduce pain levels,improve sleep quali-ty,and decrease the incidence of complications.
