In recent years in China, the communicative language teaching has widely accepted. This task - oriented teaching approach should attach much importimce to such factors as task formation, task design and the impact on the class teaching from task-designing environment. The authenticity of task design ranks high as the key- note among all these factors. An universal point has been reached by foreign language research in that task design should be based on authentic materials from real daily life. And the local culture in Zunyi may be regarded as one important source of the authentic materials here.
