Executive capacity is a multidimensions, multilevel hierarchy, complex construction. In view of intellectual factors and non - intellectual factors in learning ability, executive capacity is divided into cold executive function and hot executive function. At present, cold executive function is a focus in executive function research. Hughes＇s model is acknowledged which supports cold EF involve three components： working memory, inhibitory control and cognitive flexibility. The researches on hot executive function are rare now and focus on affective decision - making. In the future research on learning process, combining cold executive function and hot executive function should be of greater concern.
