Expression analysis of 8 SERK genes in soybean under drought stress
In this study, eight soybean GmSERK genes and their promoter sequences were analyzed by bioinformatics, and their expression levels under drought stress were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR(qRT-PCR).The results showed that eight GmSERK genes were located on five chromosomes of soybean genome, respectively, and the proteins they encoded containing 596-624 amino acids. The eight GmSERK proteins all contained one signal peptide sequence and multiple leucine-enriched repeats(LRR).Except for GmSERK10 protein, all other GmSERK proteins contain one transmembrane domain and one kinase domain.Except for GmSERK7,the expression levels of the other 7 GmSERK genes changed under drought stress, indicating that some soybean GmSERK genes could respond to drought stress. The eight GmSERK promoters contained five type of hormone response-related elements(ABRE,CGTCA-motif,P-box,TATC-box and TCA-element)and three type of stress response-related elements(ARE,MBS and TC-rich repeats). However, the type and number of elements contained in different promoters are different.
