Policies and Measures to Support Energy and Industrial Transformation by German Government
Germany's energy supply is undergoing a fundamental transformation towards renewable energy and higher energy efficiency after the shock of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. In order to achieve the 2045 carbon neutrality target, the German government has formulated a series of policies and transition pathways for renewable energy sectors such as green hydrogen, wind power, and photovoltaics,as well as vigorously developing the new energy storage market and the future electricity network.Until 2023,Germany's renewable energy had accounted for more than half of total electricity consumption for the first time, and the new energy transition had made significant progress. The successful experience of the German government in supporting energy and industrial transformation may provide ideas for the development of renewable energy in China.
