Application analysis of Duyun Radar ROSE 2.0 product in the severe convective weather process on April 24th,2022
This paper analyzes the characteristics of a severe convective weather process from afternoon to night in Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture on April 24,2022,using monitoring data from regional automatic meteorological stations and radar detection data from Duyun,based on the application of radar detection software ROSE 2.0 product.The results indicate that ROSE 2.0 product can recognize hail and storm winds;the hourly precipitation detected by radar is relatively weak,mainly due to the Z-I relationship and the obstruction of the screw shell mountain range in the west of Qiannan;the ROSE 2.0 product alarm function has a certain indicative significance for small hail.The analysis of this severe convective weather process has a positive effect on promoting the widespread application of radar products in Qiannan.The feature quantities identified by ROSE 2.0 product can provide a reference for early warning of catastrophic weather such as short-term heavy rainfall,hail,and strong winds.
