Analysis on characteristics of extreme short-term heavy precipitation in mountainous areas of the eastern Jilin Province
Based on the topographic and geomorphological characteristics of Jilin Province, this paper selects hourly precipitation data from 20 National Surface Meteorological Observation Stations in the eastern mountainous areas from 1975 to 2023,and uses the percentile method to establish the threshold of extreme short-term heavy precipitation at each national station.Based on this, the spatical and temporal distribution characteristics of extreme short-term heavy precipitation in mountainous areas of the eastern Jilin Province are analyzed. The results show that the thresh old of the extreme short-term heavy precipitation is between 20~33 mm,and the intensity distribution is basically consistent with the threshold distribution. The frequency distribution is negative correlated with the threshold distribution.Extreme short-term heavy precipitation shows an increasing trend, with the highest frequency from late June to mid-August.The frequency of extreme short-term heavy precipitation is highest from 14:00 to 19:00 every day.The frequency of extreme short-term heavy precipitation shows periodic fluctuations of approximately 30~42 years and 18~24 years. The research results aim to provide technical support for the forelast and early warning of extreme short-term heavy precipitation in mountainous areas of the eastern Jilin Province.
