This paper introduces the working principle and components of the atmospheric transmission instrument,briefly describes the importance of its application in civil aviation airports,summarizes the phenomena,troubleshooting and handling methods of four typical faults of the HSS sensor VPF710 RVR atmospheric transmission instrument in practical work.Finally,the technical issues of the atmospheric transmission instrument are discussed,providing reference for civil aviation meteorological support work.
