High-Quality Development of Rural Mutual Aid Elderly Care Services against the Background of Rural Revitalization
Against the background of rural revitalization,rural mutual aid elderly care services,as ways to address the aging population in rural areas,have received support from national policies.Exploring the practice of rural mutual aid elderly care services is beneficial for further optimizing the rural elderly care service system.The current rural mutual aid elderly care services have the following characteristics:multiple systems support the development of rural mutual aid elderly care services;multiple entities participate in rural mutual aid elderly care services;mutual aid elderly care services mainly aim at the elderly in need;and mutual aid elderly care services focus on basic needs.The current rural mutual aid elderly care services have problems such as relative scarcity of mutual aid elderly care resources,the need for improvement in organizational management,the need to improve the sustainability of mutual aid services,and low enthusiasm for elderly participation.We can promote the high-quality development of rural mutual aid elderly care services by combining local government support with the efforts of the villages,collaborating with different entities to achieve co-construction and sharing,gradually improving services based on the characteristics of rural communities,emphasizing the integration with rural public services,and paying more attention to the capacity building of mutual aid and elderly care organizations.
