Academics in Qing Dynasty in Modern Academic Transformation:Reflections on Some Related Issues
In the modern academic transformation,academics in the Qing Dynasty played an important role as a link between the past and the future.On the one hand,modern scholars had the academic background of the Qing Dynasty;on the other hand,academics in the Qing Dynasty provided important"local resources"for the development of modern academics.When modern scholars discussed the academic issues related to the Qing Dynasty,they not only wanted to sum up the gains and losses of the Qing Dynasty's academics but also critically inherited the"local resources"of the Qing Dynasty's academics and planed the way for the development of modern academics.On the basis of previous studies,we should pay extensive attention to the confrontation between modern scholars with different academic positions around the academic causes,purposes,gains and losses,context,stages and divisions of the Qing Dynasty,and explore the differences between modern scholars'views on academics in the Qing Dynasty and Qing Dynasty scholarship,and the context and ideological motivation behind them.We should also clarify the specific situation of modern scholars serving the modern academic transformation through interpreting academics in the Qing Dynasty.
