Western ecological modernization advocates the liberation of"ecology"and returns to"ecological rationality"ostensibly,but it still follows the leading and driving of the capital logic.It is impossible to solve environmental problems and deal with the ecological crises of modernity by continuing the"economic rationality"of Western modernization and pursuing"the more the better".Ecological Marxism has put forward"ecological rationality"and seeking"less but better",which is based on revealing and criticizing Western"economic rationality".The"less"and the"better"present the distinct characteristic of"ecological Utopia",which is impossible to protect the ecological environment.Based on the harmony between humans and nature,Chinese ecological modernization is the ecological modernization of people-centered and driven by People's logic,replacing"the more the better"with"the higher the better",which has achieved the transcendence of the"economic rationality"of the Western ecological modernization,and replacing"less but better"with"the higher the better and the more beautiful",which has realized the thorough sublation of the"ecological rationality"of the Western ecological Marxism,forming the"eco-economic rationality"of the Chinese ecological modernization in the integration of"economic rationality"and"ecological rationality".
