High-Quality Development of the Digital Economy in Ordinary Villages:A Case Study on S Town,an"Outstanding Digital Village Construction Town"in Province A
The arrival of the digital era has brought new development prospects and vast opportunities for ordinary villages without special locational,resource,or human capital advantages,namely,the rural digital economy.During the critical period of comprehensively advancing the rural revitalization strategy,how ordinary villages can achieve high-quality development of the digital economy is a key issue that the academia urgently needs to address.This paper finds that S Town,an"Outstanding Digital Village Construction Town"in Province A and an"ordinary town",has accumulated rich and valuable experience in effectively promoting high-quality development of the rural digital economy,providing a reference for the high-quality development of the digital economy in other ordinary villages.Currently,facing challenges such as lower digital literacy among some officials and the public,unclear locational and competitive resource advantages,the need to strengthen sustainable support forces and intrinsic"hematopoietic"functions,the"urban-rural dual structure"hindering orderly interaction between digital talent and resources,and the lack of leading digital enterprises,resulting in isolated efforts and"gaps"in the industrial chain,S Town should specifically address these problems through various"+"methods,thereby further enhancing the driving force of the digital economy for rural economic development.
