The Development of building integrated photothermal voltaic(BIPV/T)systems
The Building Integrated Photovoltaic/Thermal(BIPV/T)system cleverly integrates solar photovoltaic(PV)and solar thermal collectors with building facades, achieving synergistic generation of electricity and heat. This integration facilitates the simultaneous generation of electricity and thermal energy, significantly enhancing solar energy efficiency while reducing the building's heating and cooling loads. The paper provides an overview of the development of BIPV/T systems, categorizing them into two main types:Photovoltaic/Air Building Integrated(BIPV/Air)and Photovoltaic/Fluid Building Integrated(BIPV/fluid)systems.Performance optimization strategies for BIPV/Air systems have been summarized, including ventilation modes and enhanced heat transfer structures.In-depth discussions have been conducted on BIPV/Water and BIPV/T heat pump systems within BIPV/Fluid systems, including mathematical models, performance enhancements, and optimization methods.Effective methods for improving strategies have been identified. This research provided valuable guidance for enhancing the energy efficiency and economic viability of BIPV/T systems.
