Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of treating knee osteoarthritis with the edge needle. Methods:From 2007 to January to 2013 January in our hospital clinical data of 60 patients with knee osteoarthritis were retrospectively studied. We randomly the 60 patients were divided into observation group and control group, each group has 30 patients. The control group was treated with the conventional acupuncture treatment, were edged needle therapy on patients in the observation group. After the end of treatment, compared two groups of patients the total score Tegner knee function in patients of the two groups before and after the treatment efficiency and. Results:After the treatment, in 30 cases of the observation group patients, treatment outcome is markedly 11 cases, effective treatment results of 17 cases, the treatment result is invalid in 2 cases, the total effective rate of treatment was 93.3%. In 30 cases of patients in the control group, treatment outcome is markedly 8 cases, effective treatment results of 12 cases, the treatment result is invalid in 10 cases, the total effective rate of treatment was 66.7%. Observation of patients in treatment group was better than that in control group of two patients, there was a significant difference (P< 0.05). After treatment, the Tegner knee functional scores of patients in two groups were all higher than that before treatment, but the observation to improve the degree of the Tegner knee functional groups of patients with scores than patients in the control group, the two there was a significant difference (P<0. 05). Conclusion:With the edge needle for treatment of knee osteoarthritis can effectively improve the patients with knee joint activity, reduce the pain, and improve the quality of life. The method is worthy to be popularized in clinical use.
