The Influence of Physical Exercise Habits of Middle School Boys on Gender Roles in Quanzhou City
Based on the current situation of gender role tendency and poor physical health of adolescents,245 middle school boys in Quanzhou City were randomly selected to investigate gender roles and physical exercise habits,and to explore the influence of physical exercise habits on gender roles of middle school boys.The results showed that the proportion of middle school boys'4 types of gender role types in sec-ondary schools in Quanzhou City was 46.5%undifferentiated,35.5%bisexualized,13.1%male,and 4.9%female.The proportion of students with exercise habits was low,and the difference of the total score of exercise habits and volitional factors of different gender role types was statistically significant(P<0.01),but there was no significant difference between different gender role types and repeatability factors.The intersex type showed the best performance in physical exercise habits and volitional factors.The scores of male positivity scale and female positivity scale were positively correlated with the scores of physical exer-cise habits and volitional factors(P<0.01).Regression analysis showed that the volitional factor of phys-ical exercise habit could positively predict the positive scale scores of male and female(P<0.05).It can be concluded that Quanzhou middle school boys group and gender consistent traditional gender concept began to fade in middle school boys,the habit of physical exercise was not stable enough.There is a corre-lation between the type of gender role and the will of physical exercise habit and exercise behavior.The volitivity of physical exercise habit has a positive predictive effect on male positive traits and female posi-tive traits,and promotes the development of gender role traits towards intersex.
