The Integrating Discipline Construction of Local Universities with Regional Economy Under the Background of"Double First-Class"Construction
Local universities,as an important part of Chinese higher education system,directly affect the economic and social development of the region.This paper analyzes the significance and characteristics of discipline construction in local universities and regional economic development,and points out the prob-lems of insufficient discipline positioning and planning,the need to enhance the compatibility between dis-cipline layout and regional economy,the lack of talents in discipline construction and the imbalanced allo-cation of discipline resources.Under the background of"Double First-Class"Construction,local universi-ties should base their strategies on their own characteristics and the development laws of disciplines;and explore strategies such as adhering to classified management of colleges and universities,adhering to disci-pline construction as the leader,adhering to talent training as the core,attaching equal importance to sci-entific research innovation and transformation and application,adhering to independent talent training and key introduction at the same time and adhering to expanding foreign exchanges and cooperation,which will provide strong support for promoting regional economic and social development.
