In this paper,combined with the manufacturing and installation engineering practice of a light quay container crane project in China,firstly,the structural characteristics of the light quay container crane are described,and the design and manufacturing proposals were formulated,and proposals of spare parts transportation and unloading were evaluated and demonstrated.In addition,based on the characteristics of the newly-built terminal,the manufacturing and installation technology of light quayside container crane was studied from the aspects of shipping schedule and shipping arrangement,site layout after unloading components,and on-site assembly of main components.
