Since nuclear waste has certain radioactivity,low-level waste cranes must have high reliability and high safety,and its key mechanisms and components should be designed redundantly to improve the safety and reliability of the system.To meet the redundant design requirements of the hoisting mechanism of the nuclear waste crane,realize continuous operation and avoid the main hoisting mechanism being idle due to the failure of the motor end,a new standby hoisting mechanism with safety,reliability,compact structure and easy maintenance is proposed in this paper by drawing lessons from the redundant design ideas of the hoisting mechanism of the casting crane and combining with the special working conditions of the nuclear waste crane,so as to realize the redundancy of the mechanism and improve the operation continuity and system reliability of the crane.This redundant mechanism should be promoted and applied.
