In this paper,a case of a passenger aerial ropeway detachment is described and analyzed.Through on-the-spot investigation and checking data,and collecting data through the wind tunnel test of the hanging car,the cause of ropeway detachment is inferred by polynomial regression algorithm.The analysis results show that the occurrence of ropeway detachment is related to strong wind.The case analysis proves once again that the cross wind can significantly affect the safe operation of the ropeway.To improve the safety of the passenger aerial ropeway and ensure the safety of passengers and staff,several suggestions and measures are put forward to prevent the ropeway detachment,which provides valuable reference for industry supervision,inspection and safety operation and maintenance.
