With the widespread application of wireless sensor networks(WSN)in sensitive fields such as military and medical, data security issues have become increasingly prominent. However, the resource limitations of WSN nodes make it difficult to efficiently implement traditional encryption algorithms. This study conducted an in-depth analysis and improvement of the Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)based on the characteristics of WSN,and proposed the Lightweight Advanced Encryption Standard(LAES)algorithm.LAES adopts an optimized S-box,7-wheel structure, and global lookup table method, which has shown excellent performance in both theoretical analysis and experimental evaluation. The results show that LAES maintains high security while increasing execution speed by 30%and reducing RAM usage by 39%,providing a practical solution for WSN data security.
