Synthesis and Properties of a Fluorescent Dye Based on Triphenylamine
A novel fluorescent dye(Dye F),N,N-bis[4-[(4-cyano)styryl]phenyl]-aniline,was synthesized from triphenyl-amines.The dye has bright fluorescence with triphenylamine as electron-donor group and p-cyano-styrene group as electron-acceptor group.Basic photophysical properties of the dye were studied. The experimental results showed that Dye F has obvious solvation effect, and the emission wavelength was obviously redshifted with the increase of solvent polarity. The structure of Dye F was further studied by theoretical calculation, and the application of Dye F in cell imaging was explored.
