Optimization of Cotton Coarse Cloth Dyed with Sappan Wood Natural Dye by Response Surface Method
In the presence of ferrous sulfate mordant,the effects of concentration of dyeing solution,concentration of mordant and dye-ing temperature on K/S value of cotton coarse cloth dyed by Sappan Wood natural dye was investigated based on single factor experi-ment.The Box-Behnken response surface method was used to optimize the dyeing process.The results showed that the optimum process conditions for natural dyeing cotton coarse cloth were as follows:the concentration of dye solution was 82.1 g/L,the concen-tration of mordant was 3.5 g/L and the dyeing temperature was 60℃.The effect order of these factors for cotton coarse cloth was dye concentration>dosage of mordant>dyeing temperature.The dry rubbing color fastness of dyed fabric was 4-5,the wet rubbing color fastness was 3-4,and the overall performance was improved.
