Abstract
Kuropatkin was the commander-in-chief of the Russian forces in Manchuria during the Russo-Japanese War,and his summary for the war history,The Russian Army and the Japanese War,was translated into Chinese and introduced into China as early as 1980.This rereading aims to focus on the Japanese army as observed by its opponent in various fields such as military doctrine and technology in order to accurately understand the historical process and basic features of Japan's rapid development after the Meiji Restoration and its rise to become world power.
