In oder to set the grading standards of Hopea hainanensis seedings, 60 samples of 240-day-old Hopea hainanensis seedings were selected as testing materials at random, and the ground diameter, seeding height, crown breadth, leaf number, main-root length, root number, wet weigh, the weight of ground part the weight, the weight of underground part. Ground diameter and seeding height were used as the quality indexes of seeding classification by the correlation analysis, and the grading standards were established by using the methods of gradual clustering analysis. And the established grading standard was: Grade Ⅰ seedings with ground diameter over 0.45 cm and height over 40.31 cm, Grade Ⅱ seedings with ground diameter of 0.36-0.45cm and height of 27.29-40.31 cm, Grade Ⅲ seedings with ground diameter less than 0.36 cm and height less than 27.29 cm. The established grading standard can provide references for the scale and standard-ization productin on Hopea hainanensis in Hainan.
