Quality and Safety Monitoring of Edible Forest Products in Western Guangdong Province:A Case Study of Jiangmen City
The article focuses on the soil and product's quality and safety of edible forest products in the west-ern region of Guangdong Jiangmen.Through typical sampling of edible forest products and their soil,and the residual amounts of heavy metals arsenic,cadmium,lead,and pesticides methamidophos,chlorpyrifos,omethoate,isocarbophos,fenthion,and terbufos in the forest products were measured in the laboratory.Also the heavy met-als lead,cadmium,arsenic,mercury,chromium,copper,and pH value in the soil were tested.Based on the test results,the article draws the following conclusions:(1)The edible forest products in the western region of Guangdong Province meet the relevant quality and safety standards.However,Some of the soil of origin has ex-cessive lead.(2)Under the acidic soil conditions,there is a strong correlation between the content of heavy metal lead in the soil of the Neesia japonica production area and the content of heavy metal lead in forest products.
