Study on the Agglomeration Degree of Forestry Industry during the"Thirteenth Five-year Plan"Period in Six Provinces of Central China
The paper took the forestry industry in six provinces of central China during the"Thirteenth Five-year Plan"period as the research object. It analyzed the forestry industry agglomeration degree by using the location quotient method and the competitive state model of industry agglomeration. The results showed that the agglomeration degree of the forestry industry in six provinces of central China exceeded the national average level, and it was always a relatively advantageous industry compared to other areas in the country. The agglom-eration degree of all the thrice industries exceeded the national average level,in which the agglomeration ad-vantage of the primary industry was obvious and the competitive advantage was enhanced, the agglomeration degree and the competitive advantage of the secondary industry was increasing, and the agglomeration advantage of the tertiary industry was obvious while its competitive advantage was decreasing. The agglomeration degree in Jiangxi,Hunan, and Anhui was always higher than the regional average, while that in Hubei,Henan, and Shanxi was always lower. The agglomeration degree of thrice industries in Jiangxi,Hunan, and Anhui was always higher than the regional average.but it was lower in Henan and Shanxi. In Hubei, only the tertiary industry agglomera-tion degree was always higher than the regional average level.
