Study on the Construction of Forest Fire Prevention System in State-owned Forest Farms in Hunan Province
This study elaborates on the current severe situation of forest fire prevention of state-owned forest farms in Hunan Province, including a high incidence of forest fires triggered by extreme weather conditions,ex-cessive fuel loads,a high proportion of flammable tree species, and the increasing difficulties in managing wild-fire sources.Through an investigation into the construction of forest fire prevention systems of 216 state-owned forest farms in Hunan Province, the following issues were identified:inadequate construction of forest fire video surveillance systems, underutilized observation towers, absence of a drone patrol system, prominent aging of personnel, insufficient firefighting equipment, backward production and living conditions, and weak fire pre-vention infrastructure.Specific suggestions are proposed to enhance early warning and monitoring capabilities, strengthen the capacity building of forest fire brigades, and improve the construction of fire prevention infras-tructure.
