Evaluation of Agricultural Production Efficiency in Hexi Corridor—Based on DEA Model and Malmquist Index Analysis
This paper based on the panel data of five cities in Hexi Corridor from 2012 to 2021,uses DEA-BCC model and Malmquist index. The static analysis results of DEA-BCC model show that during the study period, only in 2015 and 2021 DEA was effective and the efficient production was realized, while other years were ineffective;the dynamic analysis results of Malmquistindex show that during the study period, except for 2012-2013,the agricultural total factor productivity is greater than 1,and the agricultural production efficiency was gradually improving. The main reason for the low productivity is that the production scale is small and cannot meet the needs of agricultural development. Therefore, this paper proposes that Hexi corridor can rationally allocate resources, rationally use chemical fertilizer, expand the production scale and improve the level of science and technology,so as to improve the production efficiency and enhance the level of agricultural economic development.
