Comparative Experimental Study on Fresh Corn in Chishui City in 2023
Chishui City is a suitable planting area for fresh corn in low-altitude regions of Guizhou Province.To accelerate the pace of variety renewal and promote the healthy and steady development of the fresh corn industry,the Guizhou Provincial Crops Technology Promotion Station conducted comparative experiments on 23 fresh corn varieties in 2023.The results showed that among the 23 tested varieties,"Guoyue Sweet no.1"in the sweet corn group and"Zhongmiao Black Pearl,Zhentiannuo 368,and Zhentiannuo no.2"in the sweet and glutinous corn group performed the most prominently,with good comprehensive traits,moderate plant traits such as growth period,plant height,and ear position.The appearance of the ears was beautiful,the grains were full,the yield of fresh ears was high,the sensory and cooking quality was good,and the comprehensive performance was significantly better than other varieties,indicating good promotion prospects,It is recommended to gradually promote the variety in suitable areas based on the approval status and adaptability test planting situation,while continuing to experiment and observe other varieties.
