The Effect of Slow-Release Fertilizer on Yield and Quality of Fresh Maize
This paper uses'SBS902'fresh corn variety as the experimental material, and sets up six different treatments to study the effects of slow-release fertilizer on the yield and quality of fresh maize. The results show that under the same nitrogen application rate, the replacement of ordinary urea with slow-release fertilizer could significantly improve the yield and quality of maize, increase the economic benefits of maize planting, and reduce the application of slow-release fertilizer by 10%achieves the same yield and quality level as ordinary urea, within the economic benefits of fresh maize planting in the range of 10%-20%of slow-release fertilizer reduction is still higher than that of ordinary urea.Considering all factors,Treatment T2(applying 318.18 kg/hm2 of slow-release urea)is deemed the optimal dosage of slow-release fertilizer.
