The Influence of Different Harvesting Conditions on the Natural Rubber Quality Stability and Physical Mechanical Properties
Using multiple batches of ton-level fresh rubber latex from farms in Guangdong reclamation area as the carriers, stability tests were conducted on the quality of raw materials for natural rubber under different harvesting conditions. The results showed that different tapping seasons, different ammonia content, and different(transportation)storage times had a significant impact on the volatile fatty acid value in fresh latex.During the high production period from August to October, with high temperatures, the acid value significantly increased and the stability of fresh latex was poor; The three performance indicators of P0,PRI,and Mooney viscosity of the raw rubber produced after solidification,as well as the physical and mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elongation at break, tear strength, and Shore A hardness, are significantly affected, and are positively or inversely proportional to their variables; The performance indicators of raw rubber in the middle of the rubber cutting year are relatively excellent.
