Effects of Different Cultivation Methods on Maize Yield and Economic Benefit
To study the effect of different cultivation methods on maize yield and economic benefits, four cultivation methods were set up,including equal row spacing flat planting(treatment 1),equal row spacing ridge planting(treatment 2),wide-narrow row flat planting(treatment 3)and large-ridge double row planting(treatment 4).The study aimed to investigate the regulation mechanism of canopy structure of different groups on photosynthetic performance of maize and the analysis of maize yield and economic effects. The results showed that there were significant differences among different cultivation methods. The maize grown using the large-ridge double-row method had the highest net photosynthesis rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate, and yield, reaching 11 875.22 kg/hm2,with the best economic benefits and a net profit of 8 258.02 yuan/hm2.The second-best was the wide-narrow row flat-cultivation method, which achieved a yield of 10 948.15 kg/hm2 and a net profit of 6 501.60 yuan/hm2.Therefore,for growing corn in Xinzheng,Henan, the large-ridge double-row or wide-narrow row cultivation methods can be chosen to achieve optimal efficiency..
