Research Status of Mikania micrantha Biological Control and Resource Utilization
Mikania micrantha H.B.K. is the only one of national forestry quarantine harmful plant. Due to its strong climbing, breeding dispersal ability, and highly allelopathic effects, it generates great harm to agricultural and forestry development in the invaded region. As an Asteraceae M.mic rantha have a strong resource utilization value, and it has a wide range of utilization prospects in terms of bio-pesticides, drugs, etc. In this paper, the biological characteristics, distribution, suitable areas and hazards were introduced and the current research status at home and abroad for biological control and resource utilization of M. mic rantha were summarized.
