Survey on Cassava Root Rot of Pytophthora palmivora and Resistance Evaluation on 59 Cassava Germplasms
The survey for cassava root rot of Pytophthora palmivora was finished in our research, and this disease widely happened in Yunnan, Hainan, Guangxi and Guangdong provinces, which had became a new important obstacle of cassava industry. Using in vitro inoculation method in lab, the resistant evaluation of fifty-nine cassava germplasms was finished. The results showed only six kinds of germplasms were high resistant and the proportion was 10.20 %, eleven kinds of germplasms were high susceptible and the proportion was 18.64 %. Most of the germplasms showed certain degree of susceptibility. The vivo inoculation result confirmed cassava germplasms SC11 was high resistant and GR4 was high susceptible, and this test was studied on living plants in field.
