Research Progress on the Effect of Heavy Metal on the Industrial Hemp Crop
Heavy metal pollution in soil has beco me an important problem faced currently by the agricultural ecological environment. It has been a multi-disciplinary research frontier and hotspot to manage heavy metal contaminated soil by phytoremediation technology. In recent years, industrial hemp crop has been one of the most important plants to remediate the soil polluted by the heavy metal due to the fact that it has a low demand for climate and soil, and a good ecological adaptability and protection. The researches in industrial hemp crop were reviewed in seed germination, root system, sex, four hydrogen cannabinol and fiber properties under the heavy metal stress. The influence of heavy metals on industrial hemp crop and its development trend were summarized in order to provide guidance for environmental control, development of phytoremediation technology and breeding of new varieties of industrial hemp crop.
