Effects of Different Treatments on the Germination of Asparagus cochinchinensis Seeds
Seeds of Asparagus cochinchinensis were treated under different conditions to analyze the effects of different antibacterial treatments, different temperatures, different levels of light and different germination beds on seed germination. The results showed that the seeds treated at different temperatures were significantly different in germination rate, optimum at the temperature of 20℃ or 25℃. The light had no effect on the seed germination, but adequate light was more conducive to seed germination. The seeds were not disinfected by fungicides and had the best treatment when treated with sterilized (autoclaved) water. The most suitable germination bed was filter paper.
