Ecological Health Assessment of Typical Watersheds of Hainan Island Based on Landscape Patterns
Taking the three major river basins of the Nandu River,Changhua River, and Wanquan River on Hainan Island as the research objects,an ecosystem health evaluation of typical river basins on Hainan Island was carried out based on the pressure-state-response(PSR)model.The results show that the land use types of the three major river basins are mainly for-estland and cultivated land, among which the Nandu River Basin has a high degree of development and utilization.Among the three major river basins, the Nandu River Basin has the characteristics of a high degree of landscape fragmentation, high di-versity,low connectivity, and strong heterogeneity compared with other river basins. The weight size of the criterion layer in the ecosystem health assessment system of the three major river basins of Hainan Island is the state layer>the pressure layer>the response layer, the maximum comprehensive weight value of each index is the land reclamation coefficient, the minimum is per capita GDP and urbanization rate, the ecological health status of the Nandu River Basin is subhealthy, and the Changhua River Basin and the Wanquan River Basin are all healthy, the Nandu River Basin has the highest pressure, and land develop-ment and utilization are the prime sources of pressure faced by all river basins. This study comprehensively evaluated the ecological health status of three typical watersheds on Hainan Island and provided a decision-making basis for the subsequent ecological management and protection of these basins.
