Persimmon is a characteristic economically cultivated fruit tree in China.To gain an in-depth understanding of domestic persimmon research directions and hotspots and to determine the historical progress of persimmon research and prospects for persimmon field development.In this study,we selected the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index(CSSCI)and Peking University core journal papers from 2003-2022 in the Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI)as the re-search objects and visualized and analyzed the knowledge graph of domestic persimmon-related research literature in terms of publication volume,authors,publication institutions,and high-frequency keywords with the help of CiteSpace software.The average number of articles published on persimmon from 2003 to 2022 was 42 per year,with a trend of increasing at first and then decreasing.Although the number of articles decreased,the quality of the papers was higher and more influential.North-west A&F University,Huazhong Agricultural University,and the Chinese Academy of Forestry rank among the top three in terms of volume of publications and have formed a stable team of researchers,making great contributions to the domestic persimmon research;in the last two decades,comprehensive and in-depth Chinese persimmon research has been conducted.In 2003-2007,research on persimmon was mainly related to cultivation,pest control,genetic breeding,etc.From 2007 to 2011,research on persimmon variety optimization,postharvest handling,transportation,storage,and processing was the most popu-lar.From 2012 to the present,more research has been conducted on persimmon preservation and storage,quality improvement,and deep processing.The latest status and progress of research in the field of persimmon were mined using a knowledge graph to provide a reference and reference for persimmon subject research.
