Effects of Different Substrates and Hormones on the Cuttage of Four Flower Species
In this study, four kinds of flower materials, namely, long flowers, chrysanthemums,Chinese roses, and triangle plums, were taken as the research objects, and the most suitable flower-cutting method was studied by using different sub-strates and different hormones under the facility conditions. The results revealed that under the same substrate conditions, the rooting rate of chrysanthemum was the highest when treated with NAA(500 mg·L-1).IAA(500 mg·L-1)resulted in the greatest growth of long-lived flowers.Under the NAA treatment(500 mg·L-1),the rooting rate of Bougainbush was the highest, but under the IAA treatment(500 mg·L-1),the growth rate of Bougainbush was the greatest.Under the same hormone conditions, the growth of chrysanthemum was the best, with grass used as the substrate. With coarse sand as the substrate, the root growth of long-lived flowers was the greatest. With vermiculite as the substrate, the aboveground part of the longevity flower grew best. With perlite as the substrate, rose root growth was the best;with vermiculite as the substrate, bougainvillea grows best. The optimal matrix and hormone combinations for the four kinds of flowers were as follows:Chrysanthemum should be treated with NAA(500 mg·L-1)with grass as the matrix;coarse sand or vermiculite should be used as the substrate, and IAA(500 mg·L-1)treatment should be used;and perlite should be used as the substrate for rose.Bougainvillea should be treated with vermiculite as the substrate,IAA(500 mg·L-1)or NAA(500 mg·L-1).
