Characteristics of the Plant Community Composition of Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou
To understand the structural characteristics and diversity of the plant communities in Guangzhou Chimelong Safari Park, this study selected 16 representative sample plots in the park to conduct a sample survey based on a comprehensive sur-vey.The results show that:(1)There are 290 species of vascular plants in the park, belonging to 82 families and 204 genera, with an abundant variety of plant species, including six large families and one large genus.(2)The plant community in the park is mainly composed of"tree-shrub-grass",with Ficus altissima,Ficus microcarpa,Heptapleurum arboricola, and Ophiopogon intermedius'Argenteo-marginatus'in the park being the dominant species at the respective levels.(3)the plant communities in the park have a complex structure and rich species diversity, and the α-diversity indices at each level are Shrub>Herb>Tree. The plant diversity index in the visitor activity area was generally higher than that in the animal activity area, and only the Pielou index in the tree layer was lower than that in the animal activity area.(4)There are a total of 79 spe-cies of native plants and 211 species of exotic plants in the park, and the proportion of native species in both the visitor activity area and the animal activity area is approximately 30%,indicating that although the park is rich in botanical resources, the application of native species is relatively low in general.Four suggestions are proposed as a reference basis for the subsequent renovation and upgrading of the park.
