Investigation and Analysis of Diversity of Landscape Plant Resources in the Rare Tree Species Exhibition Garden of Nanning Qingxiu Mountain
To understand the current situation of the plant resources and landscape of the Rare Tree Species Exhibition Garden of Nanning Qingxiu Mountain and to provide a scientific reference for subsequent landscape improvement,the diversity of plant resources and landscape composition of the Rare Tree Species Exhibition Garden of Nanning Qingxiu Mountain was investigated and analyzed via field investigations,information management system inquiries,and literature reviews.The re-sults revealed 517 species of vascular plants in 125 families;362 genera among the rare tree species were present in the Rare Tree Species Exhibition Garden of Nanning Qingxiu Mountain,while dicotyledonous plants were dominant.They can be di-vided into 11,6,and 3 classes according to their life form,ornamental form,and ecotype,respectively.Fabaceae,Theaceae,Magnoliaceae,Euphorbiaceae,Myrtaceae,Zingiberaceae,and Lauraceae have better ornamental characteristics and have been widely used in the Rare Tree Species Exhibition Garden of Nanning Qingxiu Mountain.The landscape features of the Rare Tree Species Exhibition Garden of Nanning Qingxiu Mountain are distinct and include evergreen plants.The plant landscape is concentrated on both sides of the garden road.However,there are several problems,such as fewer dominant plant families,insufficient use of plants,uneven distribution of ornamental plant species,and secondary forests occupying activity space in the garden.Increasing the number of dominant family plants and appropriately adding some species of stem,aromatic,vine,and understory herbs to the landscape of diverse plants are suggested.The utilization of understory space should be improved,the level of popular science research and basic scientific research should be strengthened,and the corresponding social func-tions should be improved.
