Trial Planting for Egg Yolk Fruit Variety Yaotang Xiantao in Menglian,Yunnan
To understand the production status and adaptability of the egg yolk fruit variety Yaotang Xiantao in Menglian,Yunnan,the growth performance and fruit quality indices were investigated in the field and measured in Mengma,Menglian,Yunnan,which was introduced in 2020,and compared with local round fruit plants of the same age planted in the same plot.The results revealed that Yaotang Xiantao has strong adaptability in Menglian.The tree body of Yaotang Xiantao proliferates;the average plant height is 199.3 cm;the average crown breadth is 2.5 m×2.5 m;the average trunk height is 30.1 cm;the av-erage trunk circumference is 23.4 cm;the average bearing shoot length is 32.3 cm;and the average bearing shoot thickness is 3.1 cm.In early production,2.5 years of seedling planting in the third year can be many fruits.The average yield in the third year of planting can reach 12.8 kg,and the initial production yield is three times greater than that of the local round fruit.The fruit quality was good,and the edible rate and protein,vitamin C,and total sugar contents were higher than local round fruit.Bright appearance and good commodity.The flower results can be produced several times a year.It mainly retains small fruits that blossom from March to April because the fruits that blossom during this period can be listed from early November to early January of the following year,which can compensate for the winter fruit sales gap period.The price can reach 14 to 25 yuan/kg.Yaotang Xiantao is resistant to cold,drought,and barren conditions and can bear fruit normally under extensive management.According to the investigation and analysis,Yaotang Xiantao,an excellent variety of egg yolk fruit,is suitable for spreading and planting in Menglian,Yunnan.
