Growth Responses of Phoebe bournei Young Seedings to SNP-AlCl3 Interactions
To investigate the tolerance of young Phoebe bournei seedlings to acid-aluminum environments, the present ex-periment was conducted to study the growth and biomass accumulation of the seedlings at different concentrations of sodium nitroprusside(0,0.1 mmol·L-1 SNP)and aluminum(0,0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8 mmol·L-1 AlCl3)in the interactions using annual P.bournei as the material,a two-factor randomized block experimental design, and the biomass accumulation status. The results revealed that with increasing aluminum concentration, the seedlings were inhibited, and the growth indices and biomass of the above-and underground parts initially increased but then decreased with the increasing aluminum concentration. At the same aluminum concentration, the addition of SNP treatment could alleviate aluminum stress on the addition of SNP treatment was generally higher than that of no SNP treatment.Adding 0.1 mmol·L-1 SNP could alleviate the aluminum toxicity at low con-centrations(0.2-0.4 mmol·L-1).The results of fuzzy affiliation analysis revealed that the 0.1 mmol·L-1 SNP+0.2 mmol·L-1 Al treatment was the most favorable for the growth of the seedlings, whereas the growth of the seedlings was the worst under the 0 mmol·L-1 SNP+0.8 mmol·L-1 Al treatment. The addition of SNP alleviated the growth of the seedlings under acid-alumi-num stress to a certain extent, and the concentration of SNP in the range of 0.2-0.4 mmol·L-1 has the highest alleviating effect.
