Nutrient Characteristics of Coastal Shell-debris Riched Sandy Soils in Wenchang
To know the fundamental nutrient characteristics of Wenchang coastal shell debris-rich sandy soil under different land use types,90 surface soil samples from six vegetation types in the prime coastal shell debris-rich sandy soil areas of Wenchang City were collected and analyzed. The results revealed that the coastal shell debris riched sandy soil in Wenchang is weakly alkaline, with a pH value of(7.85±0.47);the contents of organic matter(11.75±4.86)g·kg-1 and alkaline nitrogen(70.59±42.64)mg·kg-1 are relatively low;the content of available phosphorus[Olsen-P,(44.59±55.46)]mg·kg-1 is relatively high and significantly different between samples;the content of available potassium is(78.83±72.72)g·kg-1;severe phospho-rus deficiency exists in forest soil;the phosphorus content in arable soil, especially in vegetable fields,is incredibly abundant. The results reflect the nutrient status of the coastal shell-debris sandy soil in Wenchang, providing a reference for the scientific formulation of regional crop fertilization plans and early warning of excessive soil phosphorus.
