Plant essential oils are crucial natural resources and have high application value.With the increasing understanding and use of plant essential oils,the extraction process of plant essential oils is also developing.From the beginning of the de-velopment of ancient alchemy and steaming wine,the extraction methods and equipment processes have been diversified and developed in a more environmentally friendly,efficient,and safe direction.This review mainly summarizes the extraction methods of plant essential oils,such as distillation,pressing,and extraction,and introduces the instruments and processes used in experiments and industry,aiming at providing a reference for the research and production of plant essential oils.
