Comparative Analysis of Urban Green Plant Resources in Central Yunnan and Northeast Yunnan:A Case Study of Kunming and Yanjin Urban Areas
Urban green spaces are crucial for urban biodiversity conservation, and assessing the flora of urban green spaces is vital. This paper takes the flora of typical cities in central Yunnan and northeast Yunnan(Kunming and Yanjin urban areas)as an example, obtains information on the species of urban green space plants in these two regions through field inves-tigations,compares and analyzes the urban green space flora in urban areas, and grasps their floristic composition, nature, and characteristics. The results revealed the following:(1)There were 375 species belonging to 283 genera and 113 families in Kunming urban green space, and 286 species belonging to 226 genera and 88 families in Yanjin urban green space. Two to five genera in these two regions have an absolute advantage;the plant species are quite different, and angiosperms dominate the plant composition in these two regions.(2)In terms of flora composition, both places are dominated by tropical distributions at the levels of family, genus, and species, except for the world distribution.(3)The number of invasive plant species in these two locations was much higher than that of native plant species.(4)The number of native plant families, genera, and species in the two locations is small, and the composition of exotic plants is similar at the family, genus, and species levels. There is a dis-tinct"homogenization"effect,which may be caused by the large introduction of alien plants crowding out the living space of native plants. The urban green space in central Yunnan and northeast Yunnan is rich in plant resources, the flora has a distinct tropical nature, and there is an apparent'homogenization'effect at the family level in these two areas. The introduction of urban invasive species threatens the survival of native species.
