Epidemiological characteristics analysis of hand, foot and mouth disease in Yichang from 2010 to 2021:based on spatiotemporal cube model
Objective In order to provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of hand, foot and mouth disease(HFMD)and epidemic surveillance, this paper analyzes the epidemiological characteristics and spatiotemporal aggregation characteristics of HFMD in Yichang from 2010 to 2021.Methods By applying Arcgis Pro software and SPSS software, the data of HFMD in Yichang from 2010 to 2021 were exported from the system, and a database was established, the epidemiological characteristics of HFMD and the incidence of HFMD were scientifically analyzed. Results The results showed that from 2010 to 2021,a total of 58 454 cases of HFMD were reported in Yichang, with an average incidence of 59.72/100 000.The incidence of male was higher than that of female(x2=959.20,P<0.001).The cases mainly occurred in children aged 6 years old and younger, accounting for 91.15%.After the age of 4 years, the incidence gradually decreases with increasing age,the difference was statistically significant(x2=1 139 569.25,P<0.001).The annual epidemic time was from May to July and from November to December every year, showing double peaks;Yiling district,Xiling district,Wujiagang district and Yidu downtown area were clustered. Conclusion The occurrence of HFMD in Yichang was spatiotemporal aggregation, and it should be necessary to strengthen the epidemic prevention and control of kindergardens, schools and other key places in the two high incidence periods of late spring, early summer, late autumn and early winter.
