Expression of serum Glypican-4,Spexin and SFRP5 and their relationship with insulin resistance in obese type 2 diabetes patients
Objective To study the expression of serum adipokine(Glypican-4),human neuropeptide(Spexin)and secreted frizzin related protein 5(SFRP5)and their relationship with insulin resistance in obese type 2 diabetes patients. Methods A total of 45 obese patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to Wannan Rehabilitation Hospital of Anhui Province from May 2020 to May 2022 were selected as the case group, and 40 patients with type 2 diabetes with healthy body weight in the same hospital were selected as the control group.Compare the changes of serum Glypican-4,Spexin,SFRP5,insulin related indicators[fasting insulin(FINS),insulin resistance index(HOMA-IR)]and Spearman correlation was used to analyze the correlation between Glypican-4,Spexin,SFRP5 levels and FINS,HOM-IR.Results Serum Glypican-4,FINS and HOMA-IR levels in case group[(1.04±0.41)ng/mL,(15.78±3.14)mU/L,(3.82±1.05)]were significantly higher than those in control group[(0.81±0.25)ng/mL,(11.30±3.51)mU/L,(2.42±1.12)];the levels of Spexin and SFRP5[(870.25±168.47)ng/L,(38.31±15.05)μg/L]were significantly lower than those of control group[(1 553.08±287.98)ng/L,(48.89±13.58)μg/L];the differences were statistically significant(t=3.075,6.212,5.946,13.520,3.386;all P<0.05).Correlation analysis results showed that serum FINS and HOMA-IR were positively correlated with Glypican-4(r=0.458,0.502;both P<0.05),and negatively correlated with Spexin and SFRP5(r=-0.385,-0.416;-0.408,-0.496;all P<0.05).Conclusion The expression of serum Glypican-4,Spexin and SFRP5 were closely related to insulin resistance in obese patients with type 2 diabetes.
