Investigation on intestinal parasitic infections among rural residents in Liunan district,Liuzhou city,Guangxi
Objective To investigate the parasitic infection status of rural intestinal residents in Liunan district,Liuzhou city,Guangxi.Methods From November 19 to 26,2021,one administrative village was randomly selected from each of the four townships of Liushan town,Luoman town,Nanhuan street and Taiyangcun town in Liunan district,Liuzhou city,and permanent residents over 3 years old were randomly selected in each administrative village for the survey,and a total of 1 039 people were included.Fecal samples(>30 g)of the subjects were collected,and the modified Kato thick smear method was used for detection,and each specimen was detected twice.The test species include roundworm,hookworm,whipworm,pinworm,taenia tapeworm and liver fluke,and the ova of children aged 3-<10 years should be tested(cellophane anal swab method).Results Among the 1 039 respondents,8 cases of intestinal parasitic infection were detected,including 5 cases of hookworm and 3 cases of pinworm,and there was no mixed infection,the total infection rate was 0.77%(8/1 039),and the infection rate of each survey site was 0.48%~0.98%.There were no significant difference in parasite infection rate among different survey sites and sexes(both P>0.05).Hookworm infection was mainly in people aged 40~<70 years,and the highest infection rate was 1.22%in the 60~<70 years old group.Conclusion The parasite infection of rural residents in Liunan district was low,and various pathogenic factors were effectively controlled.
