The value of TyG index combined with CA153 and CEA in the diagnosis of breast malignant tumors
Objective To study the value of triglyceride-glucose(TyG)index combined with cancer antigen 153(CA153)and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant breast tumors. Methods A total of 42 patients with breast malignant tumors who visited the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January 2021 to April 2024 were selected as the observation group, and 40 patients with benign breast diseases were selected as the control group.Preoperative peripheral blood TyG index,CA153,and CEA levels were measured in all study subjects. The differences in TyG index,CA153,and CEA levels between the two groups were compared. The correlation between TyG index,CA1 53,and CEA was analyzed, and the sensitivity and specificity of TyG index,CA1 53,CEA alone and in combination in diagnosing breast malignant tumors were evaluated. Results The preoperative TyG index,CA153,and CEA levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(t=4.56,4.87,4.90;all P<0.01).The TyG index was closely related to CA153 and CEA(r=0.700,0.574;all P<0.01).The area under the curve(AUC)of the TyG index was 0.825,with a sensitivity of 71.4%and a specificity of 83.3%.The AUC of TyG index combined with CA153 and CEA was 0.865,with a sensitivity of 85.7%and specificity of 77.8%.The TyG index combined with CA153 and CEA had the highest sensitivity, and CA153 had the highest specificity. Conclusion The TyG index combined with CA153 and CEA had auxiliary value in the diagnosis of breast malignant tumors.
